Rewilding Photography - Experimente aus dem Botanischen Fotolabor was a collaborative exhibition of Meret Vischer and Angela Nigg in November 2024.
The idea to “rewild photography” began with a closer look at the toxicity labels on darkroom chemicals. Posing risks to both health and environment this sparked an inconvenient ethical enquiry into the less romantic side of analogue photography. We decided to look for alternatives. Over a year was spent researching, foraging and experimenting. The results of the research and artworks created were shown in the exhibition at St. Johanns-Vorstadt in Basel, Switzerland.
